Strength for the Journey – Overview

Colossians 2:2-3 AMP
[For my hope is] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in [unselfish] love, so that they may have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding [the joy of salvation], resulting in a true [and more intimate] knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge [regarding the word and purposes of God].
The journey is long, and the road can be crooked and rocky, and treacherous in many unforeseen ways. God does not expect you to navigate it alone. He has provided us strength for the journey through a real-deal, relationship with Jesus that grows as our knowledge of Him grows and as we experience first-hand that we can trust Him to help us in every twisty turn of the road (Romans 5:3-5 but #readthewholechapter).
May these ponderings here open your eyes to clearly see Truth reaching out for your hand so you can recognize and reject the lies that are clamoring to be your guide. Let’s not spend one second believing that God is not good or that He does not love us. Wasted. Energy. Yes, sometimes our path takes us right through trouble, so don’t think it is supposed to be otherwise (and lose heart or get discouraged). With Jesus and His Word, we can be thoroughly equipped for whatever we encounter.
